Our remarkable Stain Eliminating Primer serves as a safe and effective bonding agent and stain remover in one. It's suitable for various surfaces like decks, concrete, walls, furniture, and cabinets. Choose from four color options: use white under whites and light colors, gray under medium colors, clear under dark colors or when distressing, and dark gray under blacks or other dark colors. We advise using our primer under white or light colors to prevent wood tannin bleed-through and under all One Hour Enamel applications for superior bonding durability. Note that clear primer appears milky white in the can but dries clear. Each quart covers approximately 160 square feet. Before application, ensure the surface is clean and free of dirt, grease, grime, wax, and chalk. Remove loose or flaking paint, fill holes and cracks, and sand any imperfections. Stir the product until uniform. Apply by brush, roller, or spray, thinning with up to 10% water for spray application. Allow one hour for dry touch, reapply in 4-6 hours under normal conditions. Some stains may require two coats. After painting, wait 24 hours before applying the top-coat. Clean brushes and rollers in soapy water immediately after use. Woods like Mahogany and Cherry are notorious for bleeding. Always prime cabinets, tile, and floors for optimal results.
